Job summary

Henry Ford Health's Physical Rehabilitation division in Auburn Hills is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients in an outpatient setting. The role supports a 20-hour work week with potential Saturday on-call for hospital coverage roughly every 5 weeks.

Candidates must hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, complete the Praxis, and finish the Clinical Fellowship Year, with Michigan licensure and CCC required.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited graduate program.
• Successful completion of the National Praxis Examination.
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year.
• One year of experience in a clinical setting.
• Preferred experience in Vital Stim, cognitive communication disorders, dysphagia, CVA.

Responsibilities

• Evaluates and treats patients requiring speech-language therapy.
• Performs therapy interventions utilizing standard therapy techniques and skills as appropriate for the condition of the patient.
• Educates and counsels patient and family regarding treatment plans.
• Maintains clinical records and follows performance improvement recommendations.
• Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from speech therapy services.
• Provides information regarding appropriate support programs.
