Job summary

Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital Rehabilitation Services, affiliated with Henry Ford Health, seeks a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (ASHA CCC) to provide clinical services for adults and children. The role includes diagnosis, therapy planning, and follow-up with a multidisciplinary team.

The SLP will work within HFHS in Wyandotte, collaborating with dietitians and rehab staff, supervising trainees, and contributing to patient education and research initiatives.

Qualifications

• Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited graduate program.
• Successful completion of the National Praxis Examination.
• Successful completion of the Clinical Fellowship Year.
• One year of experience in a clinical setting required.

Responsibilities

• Provides clinical speech-language pathology services to HFHS patients including consultations with patients, family, and staff.
• Diagnoses speech, language or swallowing disorders and evaluates patient condition and prognosis.
• Develops treatment/therapy programs for patients.
• Schedules and conducts patient follow-up visits.
• Operates clinical equipment to measure speech production characteristics during evaluations and treatment.
• Performs endoscopic assessment of vocal fold function and swallowing.
• Prescribes communication technology after cancer or laryngeal surgery and teaches patients to use it.
• Participates in education and research programs and supervises students and fellows.

Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology

Certificate of Clinical Competence (ASHA)

Michigan State license
