Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab in Wayne, WV is seeking a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our in-house rehab team. You will evaluate patients, develop treatment plans, and lead rehabilitative programs to improve communication, swallowing, and cognition.

You will educate residents, families, and caregivers, participate in interdisciplinary meetings, and may treat at multiple locations to meet resident needs. A valid or pending state SLP license is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid or pending state SLP license.
• ASHA certification or eligibility preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen patient charts and develop treatment plans.
• Plan and conduct rehabilitative programs to improve communication, swallowing, and cognition.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers on therapy practices and safe swallowing techniques.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings and participate in family education sessions.
• Treat residents at multiple locations as needed to meet patient needs.
