Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab in Keyser, WV is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN position at the Keyser Healthcare Center. The SLP will be an in-house team member delivering therapy to residents, with duties including evaluation, treatment planning, and family education.

Responsibilities include leading rehabilitative programs for communication, swallowing, and cognitive needs, coordinating with the rehab team, and participating in family meetings.

Qualifications

• Must have a Bachelor's and/or a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Speech Language Pathology License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen residents' medical charts and develop a treatment plan.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing, and cognitive skills.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide strategies for practice and safe swallowing.
• Attend interdisciplinary meetings to relay clinical findings and make recommendations to the rehab team.
