Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab in Wayne, WV is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents, develop treatment plans, and collaborate with an in-house rehab team.

Requirements include a Bachelor's and/or Master's in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and a valid or pending state SLP license. Opportunities to work across multiple settings and contribute to care plans are available.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Valid or pending state SLP license.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen residents' medical charts, evaluations under physician order, and develop a treatment plan.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing, and/or cognitive issues, administer, score, and interpret specialized speech tests.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide practices for new skills, diet recommendations, and safe swallowing techniques.
• Attend/lead interdisciplinary meetings to relay clinical findings and coordinate with the rehab team and families.

Qualifications:

• Must have a Bachelors and/or a Master’s Degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an Accredited Program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Speech Language Pathology License
