Job summary

CommuniCare Rehab is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist at Wayne Healthcare Center in Wayne, WV. The role focuses on evaluating residents, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapy to improve communication, swallowing, and cognition.

The position offers in-house stability, flexible work schedule, and access to paid CEU resources as part of a growing CommuniCare Family of Companies.

Qualifications

• Must have a Master’s or Bachelor’s in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Hold a valid or pending State Speech-Language Pathology License.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, review, and screen patient’s/resident’s medical charts, evaluations under physician order and develop a treatment plan.
• Plan, direct, or conduct rehabilitative treatment programs to improve communication, swallowing, and/or cognitive problems.
• Instruct residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills and safe swallowing techniques.
• Attend/interdisciplinary meetings to relay clinical findings and make recommendations to rehab team and families.
• Opportunity to treat at multiple locations to serve diverse resident needs.
