Job summary

Palomar College is seeking qualified part‑time instructors for the Speech Communication/Forensics/ASL Department to teach Speech Communication. Assignments may include day, evening, or weekend classes at our San Marcos campus or other locations, including distance education.

The selected candidate must be willing to teach dual enrollment courses for high school within our District, counting toward both college and high school credit.

Qualifications

• Must meet one of the sets of qualifications listed under 1) through 3).
• Coursework and degrees from accredited institutions recognized by USDE are considered; international credits must be evaluated.

Responsibilities

• Teach Speech Communication; teach curriculum within the discipline.
• Willingness to teach dual enrollment courses for high school within the District.

Education

Master’s in speech, speech broadcasting, telecommunications, rhetoric, communication, communication studies, speech communication or organizational communication

Bachelor’s in any of the above AND a Master’s in drama/theater arts, mass communication or English

Equivalent combination of education and experience (with Equivalency form)
