Job summary

Palomar College is seeking part-time instructors for the Administration of Justice program. Teaching may cover Criminal Procedures, Ethics, Criminology, Community Relations, and related courses across San Marcos and off-campus or distance education settings.

Candidates should have a bachelor’s degree or higher with two years of professional experience or an associate degree with six years of experience; equivalency options are available. A dual enrollment teaching option may be required.

Qualifications

• Minimum Qualifications: Any bachelor’s degree or higher AND two years of professional experience.
• Any associate degree AND six years of professional experience.
• Equivalent combinations acceptable with an equivalency form if minimum qualifications are not met.

Responsibilities

• Teach Administration of Justice curricula, including Criminal Procedures, Ethics, Criminology, Community Relations, Criminal Evidence, Emergency Preparedness, and Basic Criminal Investigation.
• Willingness to teach dual enrollment courses for the discipline at a high school within the District.
