Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Part Time Specimen Collector in Saint Paul, MN. This role provides exemplary care and customer service to patients, clinicians, and our laboratory by collecting urine and oral fluid specimens and preparing them for shipping.

The ideal candidate has 6+ months of specimen collection or 1+ year in a medical setting, 2+ years of customer service, and a valid driver’s license. HIPAA and confidentiality policies must be followed; reliable transportation is required.

Qualifications

• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ year in medical field supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience preferred.
• Proficiency with smartphones and computers required.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required.
• HIPAA, HiTrust, confidentiality and compliance training adherence.
• Ability to observe HIPAA and security policies.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens.
• Driving between multiple facilities may be required.
