Job summary

Central Bucks School District is hiring a Special Education Assistant at Tohickon Middle School for the 2026/2027 school year. This part-time, no-benefits position is 29.9 hours per week or less, 7:30 AM–1:58 PM with a 30‑minute unpaid lunch. You will support students with IEPs in both special education and regular education settings under professional supervision.

Duties include crisis-prevention techniques, possible restraints, and coordinating with staff. Training will be provided by CBSD.

Qualifications

• Two years college coursework or an Associate Degree preferred.
• High School Diploma or GED required at time of hire.
• Ability to work effectively with students and staff.
• Willingness to follow directions and maintain confidentiality.

Responsibilities

• Support students with individualized education programs under supervision.
• Assist in classroom activities and supervise students as needed.
• Utilize crisis prevention techniques; training provided.
• Communicate effectively orally and in writing.
