Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC in Nogales, AZ is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional to assist students with academic and behavioral goals in a part-time role (25-30 hours/week) in-office.

You will work under the supervision of the Principal and teachers, supporting small groups and one-on-one learning, assisting with assessments, PBIS, and ensuring compliance with state and federal requirements while maintaining a safe, inclusive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance card required.
• Patience and maturity to support students academically and emotionally.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and restrain a student if needed.
• Adaptable to changes and handle frequent interruptions.
• Reliable to be consistently at work on time and follow directions.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with technology and computer-based learning programs.
• Support small groups and one-on-one instructional activities.
• Assist teachers with lesson assessments and assignments.
• Collect and document academic and behavioral data as requested.
• Maintain a safe, respectful, inclusive classroom environment.
• Supervise transitions, lunch, and non-classroom activities.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and parents to meet student needs.
