Job summary

Virtual Preparatory Academy of Arizona is seeking an Instructional Paraprofessional for a part-time, in-office role based in Nogales, AZ. You will assist teachers and support student learning with technology, small-group instruction, and one-on-one support, including students with IEPs/504 plans.

Qualifications include Arizona IVP fingerprint clearance, maturity, reliability, and the ability to adapt to changes while maintaining a positive classroom environment.

Qualifications

• Fingerprint clearance required (Arizona IVP)
• Maturity and patience to support students academically and emotionally
• Ability to adapt to changing work environment and manage competing demands
• Reliable, punctual and able to follow instructions and feedback

Responsibilities

• Assist students with technology and computer-based learning programs
• Support teachers with instructional activities, small-group work, and one-on-one student support
• Assist students with projects and assignments and reinforce lessons
• Contribute to safe, respectful, and inclusive classroom environment
• Document academic and behavioral data as requested by teachers or administrators
• Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and support staff to meet student needs
• Supervise students during transitions, lunch and non-classroom activities
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student information
