Sousa Elementary is seeking an Instructional Assistant Special Education I – Resource to support certified teachers in monitoring and instruction for students with IEPs. This role assists students with academic tasks, daily living activities, and health care activities under supervision.

Qualifications

• Requires an Associate’s Degree or 60 college credits or ParaPro Test.
• Preferred: High school diploma or equivalent and experience with children.

Responsabilités

• Assist in delivering classroom work under teacher direction.
• Help develop instructional materials and maintain the classroom.
• Collect data on academic/behavior goals as instructed.
• Support Positive Behavior Interventions plans.
• Assist with daily living activities and personal care as needed.
• Supervise students in classrooms and on the playground to ensure safety.
• Perform general clerical tasks to support the teacher.
