Job summary

Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking an adjunct Spanish instructor to teach SPAN 101, 102, 201 and 202 in person. The position requires delivering clear instruction, using technology as needed, and maintaining attendance and grading records according to college policies.

The candidate should meet one of the department routes for qualification in Spanish, be responsive to diverse student backgrounds, and be able to work within a structured syllabus framework.

Qualifications

• Earned master’s or higher degree in Spanish language or Spanish literature.
• Master’s in any discipline with 18 graduate hours in Spanish language or literature.
• Native Spanish speaker with a master’s and two years teaching experience in Spanish or related area.

Responsibilities

• Teach and facilitate student learning in assigned Spanish courses.
• Provide syllabus appropriate to course being taught and follow syllabus content per course.
• Maintain attendance and grading records per college policy and Adjunct Handbook.
• Meet all scheduled classes and use Blackboard, PowerPoint, and other tech as appropriate.
• Be available to students outside class time and address student concerns.

Education

Master's degree in Spanish language or Spanish literature
