Ivy Tech Community College of Indiana is seeking an Adjunct Faculty member to teach Spanish on a part-time basis in Indianapolis. The role involves delivering courses, using technology to enhance learning, and maintaining accurate records in alignment with college policies.

Adjunct Faculty are hired each semester on an as-needed basis. Adjunct Faculty are responsible for creating a learning environment that assists students in reaching their goals; and for providing effective instruction and assessment within the framework of common syllabi provided.

All responsibilities will be conducted within the parameters of the Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA), other applicable regulatory requirements, and professional standards.
Previous teaching experience is required. College-level teaching experience preferred.
Spanish Discipline Standard A qualified faculty member in Spanish meets the discipline standard through one of three routes: Possesses an earned master’s or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in Spanish language or Spanish literature; or Possesses an earned master’s or higher degree, from a regionally accredited institution, in any discipline with 18 graduate hours in Spanish language or Spanish literature; or Is a native speaker of Spanish with a master’s degree and the equivalent of two years secondary or postsecondary teaching experience in Spanish or a related area (e.g., linguistics or another language). Previous teaching experience is required. College-level teaching experience preferred.
