Job summary

Michigan Solar Solutions is seeking a Part Time Accounting Associate / Payroll Processor to support our accounting team. The role focuses on accurate payroll processing, invoicing, and maintaining QuickBooks Online records in a fast-paced solar environment.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in accounting/payroll, strong QuickBooks Online skills, and the ability to learn quickly across multiple systems. Onsite work 20–30 hours per week with competitive benefits included.

Qualifications

Minimum of 2+ years of accounting, payroll, or bookkeeping experience.
Experience with prevailing wage compliance (Davis-Bacon) is a plus.
Must be computer savvy and comfortable across multiple software platforms.
Experience processing payroll and handling invoicing.
Experience in construction, solar, or project-based industries is a plus.
Ability to learn new systems quickly and adapt in a fast-paced environment.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Responsibilities

Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule.
Manage payroll reporting and ensure compliance with prevailing wage/Davis Bacon requirements.
Handle invoicing and billing tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks Online.
Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as needed.
Support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations.
