Job summary

Michigan Solar Solutions, LLC is seeking an experienced Part Time Accounting Associate / Payroll Processor to support our accounting team. This role is 20-30 hours a week and onsite in Michigan.

You will process payroll, manage payroll reporting, and handle invoicing while maintaining QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of accounting/payroll experience, knowledge of prevailing wage requirements (Davis Bacon), and strong attention to detail, with the ability to work both

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of accounting, payroll, or bookkeeping experience.
• Experience with prevailing wage compliance (Davis Bacon).
• Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Online is required.
• Must be comfortable working across multiple software platforms.
• Experience processing payroll and handling invoicing.
• Experience in construction, solar, or project-based industries is a plus.
• Strong detail orientation and organization.

Responsibilities

• Process employee payroll accurately and on schedule.
• Manage payroll reporting and ensure compliance with prevailing wage/Davis Bacon requirements.
• Handle invoicing and billing tasks in a timely and accurate manner.
• Maintain and update financial records in QuickBooks Online.
• Assist with additional accounting and administrative duties as needed.
• Support the accounting team with day-to-day financial operations.
