Job summary

MMS Group is seeking a part-time Social Services Coordinator for a 120-unit residential property in Normal, IL. The role focuses on providing information and referrals for housing, crisis intervention, employment, education, and health safety to residents, while supporting outreach and event coordination.

Ideal candidates have at least 2 years in community organizing or social work, strong Microsoft Office skills, and a commitment to serving diverse populations.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of community organizing or social work.
• Knowledge of human service planning, sexual and domestic violence, and low-income.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).

Responsibilities

• Resident Support: Orient new residents and assist with accessing rent/utility assistance, case management services, and other connections to resources.
• Network: Develop and maintain relationships with agencies serving low-income, elderly and/or disabled individuals.
• Resourceful: Maintain information on referral resources and produce community resource documents.
• Coordinate: Plan, organize, and conduct social, educational, artistic, and other community-based activities for residents.
• Additional Duties: Perform other duties as outlined in the job description.
