Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College (MATC) invites applications for a part-time faculty pool in General Education pathways. The position focuses on delivering instruction at MATC campuses and other sites, in person, online, or hybrid, during day, evening, or weekend hours.

Qualified applicants will hold a master’s degree in Sociology or a related field with graduate Sociology coursework, and have teaching experience across formats.

Qualifications

• Must have teaching experience in a variety of classroom formats including face-to-face, blended, and online.
• Must be able to develop and maintain curriculum currency.
• Prefer bilingual Spanish/English candidates.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and deliver instruction and related teaching activities.
• Manage the classroom/laboratory.
• Develop curriculum and monitor its effectiveness; assist in program evaluation.
• Coordinate with advisory committee and participate in department meetings.
• Promote MATC programs and participate in student recruitment and outreach.
• Maintain certification and pursue ongoing professional development.
