Job summary

Milwaukee Area Technical College is seeking part-time faculty to teach sociology courses at MATC campuses and online. You will deliver instruction in various formats, manage classrooms, develop curriculums, and collaborate with advisory committees to guide program outcomes.

Ideal candidates have a Master’s in Sociology (or related field with 18 graduate Sociology credits) and experience across in-person, blended, and online settings, with Spanish/English bilingual skills preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have a master’s degree or higher in Sociology, or a related field with Sociology credits.
• Experience teaching in person, online, blended formats; curriculum currency.
• Ability to recruit, retain students and collaborate with advisory committees.

Responsibilities

• Prepare for and deliver instruction and related teaching activities.
• Manage classroom/laboratory and equipment; maintain curriculum currency.
• Develop and revise curriculum; assist in program evaluation.
• Assess student performance and advise on academics.
• Collaborate with advisory committee; participate in department activities.
• Recruit and market MATC programs; support student organizations.
• Build relationships with business and industry; participate in program evaluation.
• Complete required professsional development and stay current.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
