Back40 in Birmingham, AL is seeking a Part-Time Social Media Content Creator & Scheduler to capture the essence of our brewery and restaurant. This role focuses on content creation and scheduling for Instagram and Facebook, with no inbox management, replies, or messages handling.

You will shoot food and beverage visuals, cover events, write on-brand captions, and plan a consistent posting calendar while coordinating with the Executive Chef, Brewer, and Taproom Leader to reflect seasonal changes.

Qualifications

Job Title: Part-Time Social Media Content Creator & Scheduler

Location: Birmingham, AL

Hours: Part-Time (20–25 hours/week)

The Role We are looking for a sharp, visually driven Social Media Content Creator to capture the essence of our brewery and restaurant. This role is strictly about content creation and scheduling—you will not be responsible for answering direct messages, responding to comments, or managing the inbox. Your sole focus will be making our food, our beer, and our events look as incredible on Instagram and Facebook as they are in person. If you know how to capture the dish, the perfect pour of a craft beer, and the energy of a packed corporate event, we want you on our team.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Content Capture: Shoot high-quality, engaging photos and short-form videos (Reels) of our fast-casual menu items, craft beer releases, and taproom atmosphere.
• Event Coverage: Periodically capture our corporate functions and private events, showcasing our range from high-volume buffets to elevated, seated dinners.
• Copywriting: Write compelling, on-brand captions that highlight our unique intersection of high-quality food and fast-casual brewery culture.
• Content Scheduling: Plan, organize, and schedule a consistent calendar of posts for Instagram and Facebook using our social media management tools.
• Collaboration: Work directly with the Executive Chef, Brewer, Event Director and Taproom Leader to stay ahead of seasonal changes, fresh beer taps, and upcoming events.

What We’re Looking For:

• The Eye: Proven experience in food and beverage photography/videography. You understand lighting, angles, and how to make food look mouth-watering on a screen.
• Platform Expertise: Deep understanding of Instagram and Facebook aesthetics, trends, and scheduling platforms.
• Self-Starter: You are comfortable working independently for 20–25 hours a week, managing your own shoot schedule, and meeting content deadlines.
• Flexibility: While you control your editing and scheduling time, you must have some availability to drop in during specific service times or private events to capture the room in action.
