Job summary

Autumn Lake at Birch Manor in Sykesville, MD is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a full-time opportunity. You will evaluate, treat, and coordinate care to address communication, cognitive-communication, and dysphagia needs for residents, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Strong clinical, communication, and organizational skills.
• New graduate Speech-Language Pathologists are welcome to apply.
• Experience with skilled nursing or post-acute settings preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing abilities.
• Develop individualized plans of care based on clinical findings and resident goals.
• Provide skilled treatment for communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Track resident progress and modify treatment approaches when appropriate.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on communication and swallowing strategies.
• Maintain clear and timely clinical documentation.
• Coordinate care with nursing and other rehabilitation disciplines.
