Job summary

Autumn Lake at Chesapeake Woods in Cambridge, MD is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) for a PRN opportunity to help residents improve communication, cognitive function, and swallowing.

The role involves evaluating needs, developing treatment plans, delivering skilled therapy, documenting progress, and collaborating with the interdisciplinary team in a rehabilitation setting.

Qualifications

• Active Maryland Speech-Language Pathologist license required.
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Strong clinical and communication skills.
• Skilled nursing or rehabilitation experience preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs.
• Develop individualized treatment plans based on resident goals.
• Provide skilled therapy addressing communication, cognition, and dysphagia.
• Monitor progress and modify treatment approaches as appropriate.
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on supportive strategies.
• Complete accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Collaborate with rehabilitation, nursing, and interdisciplinary staff.
