Job summary

You will manage day-to-day site operations, supervise staff, ensure safety and licensing compliance, and foster a positive learning environment for children and families.

Experience in leading youth programs and staff, plus a high school diploma and CDA or related education, is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required
• CDA certification or 12 child-care credits (minimum 48 credits total) or an associate/bachelor degree in child-care or related field preferred
• At least 1 full year of experience in a school-age program or teaching setting preferred

Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day site operations: schedules, ratios, staffing, documentation
• Oversee curriculum implementation and ensure activities meet program expectations
• Build a safe, inclusive environment aligned with licensing requirements and AlphaBEST standards
• Make child safety the top priority and ensure licensing compliance
• Track and manage site resources, attendance, and food program requirements
• Supervise and mentor site team, provide coaching and ensure training requirements are met
• Represent AlphaBEST professionally at school and community events
• Build strong relationships with families, school staff, and AlphaBEST leadership to support student success
