Job summary

ZP Better Together, LLC is seeking a part-time Sign Language Interpreter to provide high-quality ASL/English interpreting through video in a call center and on-site at various customer locations.

Interpreters must be fluent in ASL and English, with accurate interpreting skills, and adhere to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct. Training, benefits, and flexible scheduling are provided.

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English language skills.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation.
• Understanding of Deaf culture.
• Thorough knowledge of and adherence to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience (preferred).
• State licensure or state-required credentials (if applicable).
• You must be 18 years or older to apply.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting for consumers.
• Support and model the company’s mission and values.
• Provide excellent customer service while maintaining a respectful and professional attitude with customers and colleagues.
• Exhibit professional behavior including punctuality and preparedness for shifts; maintain records accurately.
• Adhere to all policies and FCC regulations and adapt to new technologies.
• Multi-task between interpreting and using video-based technology.
• Participate in company-sponsored training for professional development.
