Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc. is seeking an American Sign Language interpreter to provide high quality video relay, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting for customers.

Under the supervision of the Communication Center Manager, you will deliver professional interpretation and adhere to the NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct. The role is part-time with 24 hours per week and offers a comprehensive benefits package including medical, telehealth, dental, life insurance, and a 401(k)

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation.
• Understanding of Deaf culture.
• NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct knowledge.
• 3–5 years interpreting experience preferred.
• State licensure or credentials if applicable.
• Must be 18 years or older.

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting for consumers
• Support and model the company’s mission and values
