Job summary

Purple Communications, Inc. is seeking an American Sign Language interpreter to provide high-quality interpreting via video in a call center and on-site at various customer locations when needed.

Interpreters must be fluent in ASL and spoken English, with accurate interpreting skills and a thorough knowledge of NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct. Responsibilities include video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting, with a strong emphasis on professional conduct,

Qualifications

• Fluent ASL and spoken English required.
• Able to provide accurate interpretation.
• Understanding of Deaf culture and NAD-RID Code of Professional Conduct.
• Three to five years of interpreting experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide effective video relay service, video remote interpreting, and on-site interpreting.
• Support and model the company’s mission and values.
• Deliver excellent customer service with a professional attitude.
• Maintain punctuality, preparedness, and accurate record keeping.
• Adhere to FCC regulations and company policies.
