Wasatch Behavioral Health’s South Provo Clinic in Provo, UT is hiring a Part-Time Shuttle Driver to safely transport agency clients along scheduled routes and assist with daily activities and appointments.

You will operate multi-passenger vans in varied weather, help clients board/exit, including those using walkers or wheelchairs, and ensure a respectful, safe transportation experience. The role runs on a part-time schedule with wages based on DOE and licensure.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Two years of driving experience with multi-passenger vehicles preferred.
• Valid driver’s license with clean driving record required.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate agency multi-passenger vans along scheduled routes.
• Transport clients in various weather and road conditions.
• Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles, including those using walkers or wheelchairs.
• Operate wheelchair lifts for clients who are non-ambulatory.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all passengers.
• Maintain passenger schedules, transportation logs, and related records.
• Complete pre-trip vehicle inspections and perform routine maintenance checks.

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Shuttle Driver at our South Provo Clinic in Provo, Utah! With a competitive wage of $17.50–$22.17/hour, this role offers the opportunity to provide safe, reliable transportation for agency clients while supporting their access to behavioral health services and community resources. The South Provo Clinic serves adults experiencing severe mental illness who may need additional assistance with day-to-day needs, accessing resources, attending appointments, and finding stable housing. As a Shuttle Driver, you'll operate multi-passenger vehicles along scheduled and customized routes, assist clients with boarding and exiting, including those who use walkers or wheelchairs, and help create a safe, respectful, and supportive transportation experience.

Schedule: Wednesday-Thursday, 8:0 AM-4:00 PM
Compensation: $17.50–$22.17 DOE and Licensure

What You'll Do as a Shuttle Driver

• Assist clients with boarding and exiting vehicles, including those using walkers or wheelchairs.
• Operate wheelchair lifts for clients who are non-ambulatory.
• Maintain a safe and respectful environment for all passengers.
• Maintain passenger schedules, transportation logs, and related records.
• Complete pre-trip vehicle inspections and perform routine maintenance checks, including oil, tires, and fuel.
• Keep vehicles clean and report maintenance needs or incidents as required.
• Participate in required training and assist with training new drivers when needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• Two years of driving experience, preferably operating multi-passenger vehicles or delivery vans, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Knowledge of vehicle operation, safety regulations, and basic automotive maintenance.
• Ability to safely assist clients with physical limitations and perform lifting-related tasks as needed.
• Ability to communicate effectively and build positive working relationships with clients and coworkers.
• Ability to remain calm, patient, and professional when working with individuals experiencing mental and physical challenges.
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
