Wasatch Behavioral Health is seeking a Part-Time Registered Nurse at the Receiving & Outreach Center (ROC) in Provo, Utah. You will join a multidisciplinary team to support adults through crisis evaluations, medication administration, and patient education in a fast-paced setting.

Schedule includes Monday–Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM and one weekend per month; compensation ranges $23.03–$41.29 per hour DOE and licensure. Utah RN license required; Spanish speakers may qualify for wage increases.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and administer medications and educate clients on proper use and treatment compliance.
• Track medication effects and communicate observations to medical staff.
• Document orders, progress notes, and intake/admission records for accuracy and audits.
• Participate in treatment team reviews and maintain current clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, and partners to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete health assessments including vitals and mental status evaluations.

Join Wasatch Behavioral Health as a Part-Time Registered Nurse at the Receiving & Outreach Center (ROC) in Provo, Utah, and make a meaningful impact through compassionate, client-centered behavioral healthcare. With a competitive wage of $23.03–$41.29/hour, you'll work alongside psychiatrists, DNPs/APRNs, therapists, peer support specialists, and other multidisciplinary team members to support the mental and physical health of clients experiencing a behavioral health crisis. The ROC provides immediate crisis mental health evaluations and consultations for adults in Utah and Wasatch Counties, partners with local law enforcement, and provides Mobile Crisis Outreach (MCOT) services when needed. Adults may stay at the Receiving Center for up to 24 hours while receiving support and stabilization services, with youth referred to Vantage Point when appropriate.

Must work one weekend a month.

Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00 AM–4:00 PM, Saturday-Sunday 8:00 AM–6:00 PM (Days and hours are varied)

What You'll Do as a Registered Nurse

• Monitor and administer medications while educating clients on proper use and treatment compliance.
• Track medication effects, recognize adverse reactions, and communicate observations to medical staff.
• Document doctor's orders, progress notes, and intake/admission records to ensure accuracy and audit readiness.
• Participate in treatment team reviews and maintain up-to-date clinical documentation.
• Coordinate with doctors, pharmacies, hospitals, and community partners to ensure continuity of care.
• Complete health assessments including vitals, mental status evaluations, and progress monitoring.
• Assist clients with accessing free or subsidized medication programs and maintain accurate medication inventories.
• Prepare pill boxes for designated programs and maintain controlled-substance logs.
• Communicate with clients, guardians, and prescribers regarding medication instructions and authorizations.
• Provide individual and group health education to support positive mental-health habits.
• Support residential programs with medication management, medical appointments, and daily wellbeing needs.
• Investigate documentation discrepancies and ensure compliance with WBH medication protocols.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Nursing from an accredited college.
• Current Utah RN license required. LPNs may be considered as an underfill.
• Mental health experience preferred.
• Must pass a drug screen, motor vehicle record review, and criminal background check.
• Must obtain a Utah Office of Licensing BCI clearance after hire.
• Must provide official licensure documentation upon conditional offer.
• Spanish speakers may qualify for a wage increase.

Employment at Wasatch Behavioral Health is contingent upon successful completion of a drug screen, motor vehicle record review and criminal background check. After hire you must complete and receive a Criminal Background Clearance (BCI) from Utah State Office of Licensing. Upon receipt of a conditional offer of employment in the position, you must provide an official copy of licensure or certification.
