Job summary

Brookfield Residential is seeking a Sales Assistant to be the first point of contact for customers at the Lakeside at Trappe community in Trappe, MD. You will deliver high levels of customer service, assist at show homes, and support the sales team in daily tasks.

This part-time role requires about 28 hours per week, with shifts on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and weekends from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM. Prior sales or customer service experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required.
• Strong customer service and troubleshooting skills; sales or customer service experience preferred.
• Experience in home building or real estate is an asset.
• Excellent planning and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Working knowledge of Word, Outlook and Excel.
• Able to work flexibly in a diverse environment and handle sensitive situations tactfully.

Responsibilities

• Greet walk-in clients and monitor flow of customers; provide information and make visitors feel welcome.
• Answer basic questions and relay inquiries to Sales staff.
• Answer phones and take accurate notes of inquiries.
• Direct questions to appropriate Sales staff as needed.
• Keep sales centers clean and Show home in excellent condition.
• Prepare and mail quarterly follow-up letters; handle faxes and filing.
• Input customer and realtor profiles into the system and file appropriately.
• Prepare promotional material and update client lists as required.
