Job summary

Marcus Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Part-Time Restaurant Server at Hilton Madison Monona Terrace in Madison, WI. Morning and weekend availability required with an $8.00/hour base wage plus tips. Join a team focused on delivering exceptional service and a welcoming dining experience.

Experience in food service is a plus, but training is available. You will greet guests, take orders, and help maintain a clean, efficient dining area while supporting fellow team members.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant or customer service is a plus—but not required.
• Friendly, reliable, and team-oriented with strong communication skills.
• Ability to multitask and stay calm in a fast-paced dining environment.
• English proficiency (spoken and written) to support guests and follow instructions.

Responsibilities

• Greet guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Take orders accurately and enter them into the POS system.
• Serve food and beverages according to Hilton and Marcus standards.
• Anticipate guest needs and respond promptly to requests.
• Maintain clean, organized tables and dining areas.
• Communicate with team members and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service.
• Resolve guest concerns when possible—or expand to supervisors as needed.
• Support restaurant cleanliness and assist with restocking as needed.
