Job summary

Douglas County Community and Senior Center in Gardnerville, NV is seeking a part-time Recreation Leader Senior (20-29 hrs/week) to assist with registrations, supervise youth programs, and manage facility activities. The role requires strong organization, teamwork, and a customer-focused approach to ensure a well-run recreation center.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED and 2 years’ experience leading recreational activities.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• CPR/First Aid/AED certifications within 6 months of employment.
• Ability to supervise youth, seniors and adults in activities.

Responsibilities

• Maintain front counter operations and process registrations.
• Lead and supervise recreation programs for youth, seniors and adults.
• Ensure safety and train staff and volunteers.
• Handle cash, deposits and concession sales.
• Prepare lesson plans and organize games and crafts.
• Maintain records and communicate with parents/guardians.
