Job summary

Wethersfield is seeking a Part-Time Senior Center Program Specialist to support the Community Center and Senior Center operations. The role involves assisting with planning, organizing, and executing programs and events for seniors in the community.

The position supports the Senior Center Coordinator and collaborates with staff, volunteers, and sponsors on program operations and outreach efforts, including website, social media, newsletters and ads. A CT driver’s license is required.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree with a minimum of two years’ work experience in Senior Services or a related field.
• Possession of a State of Connecticut Motor Vehicle Operator’s License.

Responsibilities

• Provides assistance in the planning and organizing of programs and special events.
• Assists Senior Center Coordinator with operations of Wethersfield Senior Center.
• Works with staff, volunteers and sponsors to coordinate program operations.
• Helps staff with outreach and marketing efforts, which can include website, social media, monthly newsletters and program ads
