Job summary

Cura Hospitality in Farmington, MO is seeking a part-time Registered Dietitian to assess residents' nutrition, tailor care plans, and improve quality of life for the elderly. This hybrid role totals 17 hours weekly on-site at Farmington Presbyterian Manor and 8 hours biweekly at Rolla Presbyterian Manor.

You will perform nutrition assessments, educate residents, collaborate with the interdisciplinary team, complete MDS Section K and CAAs, and participate in QAPI meetings and monthly kitchen

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in nutrition (prior to 2024) or related field.
• Passed national examination by the CDR or eligibility.
• Completes 75 hours of continuing education every five years.
• Licensed or certified per state requirements.
• Knowledge of regulation standards for comprehensive assessments, care planning, and residents’ rights.
• Ability to teach others about nutrition and dietetics.

Responsibilities

• Provide nutrition assessments for admissions, quarterly and annual reviews, tube feeds, weight changes ±4% in 1 month, wounds, or significant changes.
• Provide nutrition education to residents as needed or requested.
• Create and update care plans for nurses/CNAs/CMAs to reference at meals and snacks.
• Complete MDS (Minimum Data Sheets) for Section K and CAAs.
• Use the nutrition-focused physical exam to identify residents meeting malnutrition criteria.
• Attend care conference meetings with families to discuss changes.
• Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team in weekly clinical meetings.
• Participate in QAPI Quality Assurance and Performance Improvement Meetings quarterly.
• Perform monthly kitchen inspections and meal service audits.
