Job summary

Great Lakes Management is seeking a part-time Resident Assistant for Amira Choice Bloomington in Bloomington, MN. The role involves hands-on care, supporting residents with daily living activities, and assisting in dining and activities.

You will communicate with residents and families, report changes to the case manager, help with ADLs, and document daily care and schedules. Friendly team, benefits include shift differentials and 401(k) match.

Qualifications

• Six months of experience in long term care or assisted living.
• Registered as a Nursing Assistant, Home Health Aide or Certified Nursing Assistant (Preferred).
• Ability to make responsible choices and act in the resident’s best interests.

Responsibilities

• Assist residents with ADL’s (Activities of Daily Living) as indicated on the individualized service agreement.
• Help each resident to reach and maintain the highest level of performance and independence.
• Provide residents with both physical and emotional support.
• Assist with treatments as delegated by the Registered Nurse per the resident service agreement.
• The Resident Assistant observes clients and reports changes in physical and emotional condition such as change in attitude, loss of appetite, weight, etc. to the casemanager.
• Interact with residents to provide reassurance, engagement, and redirection as appropriate.
• Complete all required documentation daily, service schedule, flow sheet, communication book, etc.
