Job summary

Master Security Company, LLC in District Heights, MD is seeking part-time security officers for night shifts. You will patrol assigned posts at a shopping center, maintain logs, and enforce site rules while presenting a professional image in uniform.

Applicants must hold a current US guard card, a valid Maryland driver’s license, reflect prior supervisory experience, pass a background check and drug screen, and be able to obtain the MD Guard Card.

Qualifications

• Must have a current guard card, driver’s license, and prior supervisor experience.
• Minimum age requirement of 18 years and legal work status in the US.
• Possession of a high school diploma or equivalent; ability to pass a drug screening.
• Reliable transportation; cell phone for contact by Operations Supervisors; ability to pass a criminal background check with no felony arrests or convictions.
• Must be able to obtain an MD Guard Card and perform duties per post orders which may include standing or lifting.
• Familiarity with mobile technology (tablets, smartphones, etc.).
• Possession of a valid full driver’s license (public transportation not acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Maintain a daily log of all activities during your shift at the post.
• Document all incidents in a detailed incident report.
• Conduct walking/vehicular patrols throughout your shift.
• Enforce customer rules professionally and courteously.
• Arrive on time and in proper uniform at your post.
• Interact and communicate with the public effectively.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
• Assess emergencies quickly and respond appropriately.
