Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Associate in Shepherdsville, KY. This role offers reliable hours, opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts, and a path toward a full-time career with the industry leader.

Pay rate is $17.63 per hour. Schedule: Day shift, Thursday, 10:00 PM – 06:00 AM, with a six-month anchor shift commitment and optional “Earn More” shift pickups to gain experience across sites.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, delivery personnel, and/or contractors at a high-traffic technology location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
• Screen visitors, credentials, packages, and/or deliveries in accordance with site-specific access-control procedures; direct authorized individuals to the appropriate entry point or receiving area.
• Monitor entry activity and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious behavior, prohibited items, and/or policy violations to site leadership or the appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established escalation and communication protocols.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, access points, and surrounding business perimeter; working environments and conditions may vary by site.
