Allied Universal is hiring a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time Screening Examiner for Norfolk, VA. The role offers reliable, consistent hours at an assigned site with opportunities to earn more by picking up additional shifts.

Pay rate is $20.00 per hour, with a fixed anchor shift and a flexible pickup program to grow earnings and experience at multiple sites. The position supports security procedures, credential verification, and incident response, with a path toward full-time hours up to 40

Formación

• Minimum one year of experience in a security-related role is required.
• A TSA-issued TWIC is required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen required by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply.

Responsabilidades

• Provide customer service to passengers, crew members, visitors, and/or vendors while carrying out security-related screening procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Screen persons, baggage, personal items, and/or authorized materials at designated cruise terminal access points in accordance with established procedures.
• Verify credentials, access permissions, and prohibited-item restrictions before allowing entry to restricted areas.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner; report observations and concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned screening areas, terminal entrances, and nearby perimeter locations; working environments and conditions may vary by location.
