Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Part Time Enhanced in Chesapeake, VA. This role offers flexible hours and the chance to gain experience with the industry leader in security and facility services.

You will provide on‑site customer service, perform patrols of loading areas and perimeters, and respond to incidents while maintaining site procedures. Pay rate is $17.19 per hour with fixed shifts and an option to pick up additional shifts.

Qualifications

• Must have reliable customer service abilities.
• Knowledge of basic access control procedures and site security.
• Experience with routine patrols and incident reporting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and personnel at a logistics and distribution location by carrying out security‑related procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of loading areas, docks, parking areas, access points, trailers, and the facility perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity and identify unusual conditions.
• Monitor access to the location by observing visitor, driver, and vehicle activity, verifying authorization as directed by site procedures, and reporting access concerns.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner; notify appropriate site contacts and emergency responders as required.
• Document patrols, incidents, observations, and security‑related activities accurately in accordance with Allied Universal and site‑specific reporting procedures.
