Allied Universal is seeking a Security Officer – Enhanced Part Time position in Norfolk, VA. This role offers flexible, reliable hours with fixed shifts and opportunities to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform.

The role emphasizes customer service, screening, incident response, and site-specific procedures, with a base schedule and potential to scale toward up to 40 hours weekly.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• Possess a TSA-issued TWIC.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen are required.

Responsabilités

• Provide customer service to guests and visitors by carrying out screening procedures and site policies.
• Screen passengers and belongings entering designated access points.
• Monitor screening equipment and report prohibited items or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents calmly and follow escalation procedures.
• Conduct regular patrols to deter unauthorized access and identify security concerns.
