Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer Patrol in Fredericksburg, VA to safeguard clients across technology, media, and telecom environments. You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to deter incidents, and deliver exceptional customer service while supporting a welcoming workplace.

The role offers a flexible schedule with pay at $19.00 per hour, and requires a high school diploma or equivalent, background screening, and age 18+ (21+ for armed positions).

Qualifications

• CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
• A Guard Card or license preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with laws.
• A drug screen will be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors at a technology, media, and telecommunications location by carrying out security-related procedures and policies.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, common areas, parking areas, access points, and the surrounding perimeter.
• Monitor access points and verify credentials; report unauthorized access or suspicious activity.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations calmly and follow escalation procedures.
• Prepare clear reports, maintain logs, and communicate observations to site contacts and leadership.
