Job summary

Allied Universal in Ramsey, NJ is seeking a Part Time Security Officer - Patrol Driver Badge Control to protect client facilities and support access control, alarm response, and customer service.

You will drive a patrol vehicle, monitor entrances, perform regular patrols, and report incidents according to site procedures. The role requires a valid driver’s license, and at least one year of security experience with a high school diploma.

Qualifications

• At least one year of security-related experience is required.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check and drug screen as required by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, and visitors at a technology-focused business location by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities when appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of interior areas, exterior grounds, parking areas, and the business perimeter to help identify and report unusual conditions or security-related concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, and report unauthorized access attempts, suspicious activity, and policy violations to appropriate personnel.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, following established site and Allied Universal reporting procedures.
• Maintain accurate daily activity reports and incident documentation, and communicate relevant observations to site contacts and Allied Universal supervision.
