Qualifications

• Minimum requirements include a valid driver’s license.
• A guard card/license is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required by law.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to students, staff, visitors, and/or community members by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at an educational campus.
• Respond to incidents, disturbances, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate school personnel and/or emergency services as directed.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of campus buildings, parking areas, entrances, grounds, and perimeter to deter unauthorized activity and identify security concerns.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity in accordance with site procedures, reporting unauthorized access, suspicious activity, and facility concerns to appropriate personnel.
• Complete required activity reports, incident documentation, and shift communications in accordance with Allied Universal and site-specific procedures.
