Job summary

Allied Universal, North America's leading security and facility services company, is seeking a Part Time Screening Equipment Inspector in Columbus, OH to screen visitors, monitor access points, and deliver outstanding customer service. Qualifications

• Have at least one year of security-related experience.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal/state/local laws.
• Drug screen may be required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may apply depending on state/local rules.
• A valid driver's license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and emergency response activities.
• Screen students, visitors, staff, and/or contractors entering designated areas in accordance with site procedures.
• Operate screening equipment and inspect authorized items as directed, reporting prohibited or suspicious items and activities.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
• Conduct regular and random patrols around designated areas and the perimeter, as assigned.
