Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part-Time Security Officer in Shepherdsville, KY. You will provide unarmed security, monitor access, perform patrols, document observations, and respond to incidents with professionalism.

Candidates should have at least 6 months of security experience, be able to work a 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule on Thursdays and Fridays, and meet the basic requirements including a high school diploma and background check.

Qualifications

• 6 months or more of security-related experience.
• Access control and badge experience preferred.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet preferred.
• X-ray screening experience preferred.
• Alarm panel experience preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check in accordance with laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applicants with criminal histories.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements depend on state/local laws and may be required.
• Driver’s license required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, visitors, drivers, and/or delivery personnel by carrying out site-specific procedures and security-related policies at a logistics and distribution location.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of the facility, loading areas, parking lots, access points, and perimeter to help identify unusual activity and/or potential concerns.
• Monitor entry and exit activity, verify authorized access as required by site procedures, and document visitor, vehicle, and delivery information.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following established emergency response procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Prepare clear, accurate activity reports and communicate observations, incidents, and security-related concerns to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
