Job summary

DK Security is seeking a part-time Security Officer at our Michigan location. The role offers shifts Thursday–Friday and every other Wednesday, 08:00–17:00, with a pay rate of $18.36/hour. No armed duties are included, and some weeks may reach up to 39 hours with flexible availability.

Responsibilities include customer service, observation/reporting, access control, patrols, and safety enforcement. CPR/First Aid/AED certification is preferred or required to obtain lifelike care skills.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required for entry-level security officer roles.
• Veterans and those with security, firefighting, corrections, or law enforcement background encouraged to apply.
• All shifts include customer service, observations, access control, and safety duties.

Responsibilities

• Customer Service: assist client staff, visitors, and coworkers with a professional demeanor.
• Observe and Report: stay alert for suspicious activities and incidents.
• Security Presence: stand guard in lobbies, reception areas, and control centers.
• Patrol: conduct foot/vehicle patrols of assigned areas.
• Access Control: verify IDs and enforce restricted access procedures.
• Safety: ensure a safe environment and report safety concerns.
• Emergency Response: assist in emergencies with CPR/First Aid/AED as trained.
• Security Liaison: communicate with site supervisor and client staff.
