Job summary

DK Security, Michigan’s growing security company, is seeking a part-time Security Officer for the Fri–Sun weekend shift (2nd shift: 1500–2300).

role involves customer service, patrolling, access control, and emergency response to ensure client site safety. This position is not armed; weapons are not permitted on premises. Training provided; benefits listed apply to eligible employees.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old with a high school diploma or GED.
• 21+ with Michigan CPL or LEOSA card for armed work.
• Pass a drug screen at hire and periodically thereafter due to federal contracts.
• No felonies and no serious misdemeanor history as defined by state law.
• Ability to sit/stand/walk for 8–12 hours and lift up to 50 lbs (70 lbs for armed work).
• CPR/First Aid/AED certified or willing to become certified.

Responsibilities

• Assist client staff, visitors and coworkers with professional, positive conduct.
• Observe and report suspicious activities and incidents.
• Maintain a professional security presence in lobbies, reception areas, and control centers.
• Conduct foot and/or vehicle patrols as assigned.
• Ensure restricted areas are secure and IDs checked.
• Respond to emergencies and assist with CPR/First Aid/AED when needed.
• Communicate with client staff and site supervisor to coordinate security efforts.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
