Qualifications

• Must have 3+ years of combined law enforcement, military, or 5 years of security-related experience.
• Be comfortable using a computer or tablet.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Guard card is required.
• X-ray screening experience is preferred.
• A guard card or license is preferred.
• Be at least 21+ years of age for role.
• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Background check and drug screen as condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements vary by state/local laws.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, staff, and the public by carrying out site-specific screening procedures and emergency response at a government facility.
• Screen persons and items entering the location using screening equipment; report prohibited items or concerns.
• Maintain accurate visitor, access, screening, and incident documentation per site requirements.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner and escalate when needed.
• Conduct regular patrols of assigned access points and screening areas to deter unauthorized activity.
