Job summary

Allied Universal in Walton, KY is seeking a Security Officer Enhanced Part Time to provide access control, customer service, and site safety at a logistics location.

You will maintain fixed anchor shifts, have the option to pick up additional shifts through our scheduling platform, and earn $15.95 per hour with potential for more hours.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma, CPR preferred, and are comfortable using a computer or tablet; background checks and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• CPR certification preferred.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• X-Ray screening experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to personnel, visitors, and delivery drivers by carrying out access‑control procedures, site‑specific policies, and emergency response activities at a logistics and distribution location.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials and authorization, maintain visitor and contractor records, and direct individuals to appropriate check‑in areas.
• Screen incoming and outgoing vehicles, coordinate with dispatch or site contacts as directed, and report access discrepancies or unusual activity.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem‑solving manner, following established procedures and notifying appropriate personnel.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of access points, loading areas, parking locations, and the perimeter to help deter unauthorized activity.
