Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a part-time Security Officer Enhanced to support our logistics and distribution sites in Houston, TX. This fixed-shift role offers anchor shifts with the option to claim additional shifts through our scheduling platform, enabling you to increase earnings while gaining experience across sites.

You will provide front desk customer service, monitor access, verify credentials, and respond to incidents following site procedures.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to visitors, employees, drivers, and delivery personnel at the front desk of a logistics and distribution location by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and policies.
• Monitor access to the facility, verify visitor and contractor credentials, issue appropriate visitor passes, and maintain accurate entry and departure records.
• Answer incoming calls, direct inquiries to appropriate personnel, and communicate relevant information to site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Monitor cameras, alarms, and access control systems as assigned, and report unusual activity, maintenance concerns, or security-related incidents.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following site procedures and contacting appropriate emergency personnel and/or site representatives when needed.
